REP is a program under the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Their goal is to improve the livelihoods and incomes of rural poor micro and small entrepreneurs (MSEs). The development objective is to increase the number of rural MSEs that generate profit, growth and employment opportunities.
For the procurement of workshop equipment for 27 workshops throughout the country REP had launched a tender medio 2018 that was funded by the African Development Bank. Devotra was awarded for the supply and installation of all Metal Machining Equipment and Accessories, not only because of the strong competitive bid, but also because of their experience with this kind of workshop equipment in Africa.
On November 9th, 2018 our Managing Director Patti van de Werff went to Kumasi to finalize and undersign the contract with National Director Kwasi-Attah Antwi. The delivery to the REP warehouse in Kumasi is to be expected mid-2019, after which the equipment will be distributed to the 27 final destinations.
Once arrived at each location, Devotra will take care of the installation, commissioning and basic instructions.
