At the end of September 2016 all installation and commissioning works for the Smart Classroom project were finalized at the 10 different Technical Training Institutes. In the meantime the training of lecturers and teachers has been conducted per institute immediately after the installation and commissioning works succession and will end mid-October. After this main training the Devotra trainers and experts will remain in Kenya to provide stand-by technical and training support till end of December 2016. And a full 12 months training support program has already been designed for 2017.
Each beneficiary institute has received the same hardware and software packages for the Presentation Room 1 and the Practical Exercises Room 2. There are minor differences in the final layout of the rooms, due to the actual available size and dimensions of the rooms and the location in the buildings of the different TTI’s.
Ronald Simon of Devotra, Gerardo Flores of LJ Create and officials of the Ministry of Education recently visited some of the institutes. They found the Smart Classrooms in perfect condition and found that Principals, Teaching Staff and Students were very excited and pleased to work with the Smart Classroom.
Devotra has brought 21st century teaching systems to Kenya and is looking to expand the project nation-wide to all other TTI’s.
