DEVOTRA visits Ministry of Education in Liberia

Upon invitation of the Minister of EDUCATION in Liberia Devotra visited Monrovia from 29/02 till 04/03 to hold presentations for all stakeholders that are involved in the improvement of the Liberian Education and Training sector. Devotra demonstrated some of the best practices in Science Education and TVET, based on 2 big projects that Devotra successfully implemented in Zimbabwe and in Kenya www.devotra.nl/project-references. A part of the visit consisted of a site survey of some of the existing TVET training centers and secondary schools. These site surveys gave a good impression of the current status of these institutes and clearly a lot has still has to be done. During the meetings several ideas where exchanged on how Devotra can assist the government of Liberia in improving the Liberian Education and Training sector. And Devotra will sign a MOU soon with the Ministry of Education.
