Devotra at conference in Nairobi – Kenya Devotra has sponsored the “Hands on the Future National TVET Conference” and “Kenya Skills Show” held in Nairobi from 25 – 28 January. The conference is a forum for national and international stakeholders, from both the public and private sectors, development partners, NGOs, and youth representatives to dialogue, learn and exchange on key challenges and opportunities to unlock the potential of the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) ecosystem in Kenya.

Devotra was invited to the forum to present and discuss their view on “How to make TVET relevant to the youth”. It gave us also the opportunity to show that the recently implemented Smart Classroom Project is a perfect example of the attractiveness for the youth (and parents) to choose for TVET education. We were honored to notice that in several presentations of other stakeholders our contribution to the TVET in Kenya for the last 7 years was recognized and appreciated as such as well. The primary goal of the Kenya Skills Show was to inspire youth to enthusiastically pursue technical, vocational, entrepreneurship and/or life skills training opportunities in order to get ahead in life and become more productive, responsible citizens. At this show Devotra was present with a large booth in which we could show the Smart Classroom Concept, including the demonstration of the digital library and some additional practical trainers modules. In the two days of the show over 1000 people varying from youth, students, teachers and government officials have been visiting us and all were equally enthusiastic about the Smart Classroom concept.
